FlexSys is seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Assistant Program Manager. This role will support program management activities for cutting-edge engineering projects, assisting with project planning, resource coordination, schedule monitoring, and subcontractor communications. The Assistant Program Manager will play a vital role in ensuring project milestones are met and align with our commitment to quality, safety, and innovation in engineering.

Description
FlexSys is seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Assistant Program Manager. This role will support program management activities for cutting-edge engineering projects, assisting with project planning, resource coordination, schedule monitoring, and subcontractor communications. The Assistant Program Manager will play a vital role in ensuring project milestones are met and align with our commitment to quality, safety, and innovation in engineering.
Job Responsibilities
- Support Program Manager in the development, planning, and execution of engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Assist with resource allocation, budget tracking, and schedule management to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.
- Coordinate communications between internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements and updates.
- Prepare project reports, presentations, and documentation to support project transparency and drive strategic decision-making.
- Assist in managing risk assessments and mitigation plans, ensuring that quality and safety standards are consistently upheld.
- Monitor project progress, identify issues, and recommend solutions to maintain the project on track.
- Facilitate meetings, document action items, and follow up with stakeholders to support project continuity and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in project management or program support, ideally within aerospace, engineering, or a related industry.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and experience with project tracking and reporting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- U.S. citizenship is required to satisfy DoD contract requirements
- PMP or similar certification is a plus but not required.
- Experience in engineer drawings
- Familiarity with PDR’s and CDR’s
