Position Description:
The University of Louisville is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Admissions Counselor. The candidate will review applications of all undergraduate international applicants, including providing initial review to determine required credentials and proof of English Proficiency. Coordinate processing of applications with Office of Admissions Processing area and International Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to all inquiries from prospective undergraduate international applicants.
- Collaborate with international recruitment coordinator to yield admitted international applicants
- Coordinate with International Center the required university Orientation for new undergraduate international students.
- Initiate communication with prospective undergraduate international students who have demonstrated interest in UL and assist faculty traveling abroad with appropriate recruitment materials.
- Maintain content of Office of Admissions web pages and print publications for undergraduate international prospective students in partnership with office of Admissions Communications team.
- Perform general counseling duties for freshman, transfer, and returning undergraduate applicants by being on call, and reviewing non-international application files when necessary.
- Participate in both on and off campus programs designed to introduce prospective students to UL.
- Serve on University and community committees that seek to increase enrollment and graduation of undergraduate international population at U of L.
