Mason Tender

Position Title: Mason Tender

Salary/Wage: $20.00 (based on experience, skill level, and work ethic)

Place of Work: Various job sites around KY

Position Status: 40 or more hrs/week

Basic Job Description: Assist masons by prepping for the work, transferring materials, cleaning work areas, and caring for equipment used in the process.

Duties/Qualifications:

• Mix mortar and grout, manually or using machines, according to standard formulas.
• Erect scaffolding or other installation structures.
• Transport materials, tools, or machines to installation sites, manually or using conveyance equipment.
• Provide assistance in the preparation, installation, repair, or rebuilding of block, brick, or stone surfaces.
• Assist skilled construction or extraction personnel.
• Locate and supply materials to masons for installation.
• Arrange or store materials, machines, tools, or equipment.
• Clean installation surfaces, equipment, tools, work sites, or storage areas.
• Clean surfaces in preparation for work activities.
• Remove excess grout or residue from block or brick joints, using sponges or trowels.

Additional Information:

Adequate transportation along with a tape measure, hammer, and holster. Workers must complete a drug test, e-verify, and a possible background check.
