Summary
The Recruiter is responsible for facilitating the recruitment processes and activities to fulfill the staffing needs of one or more business locations or business units.and ensure compliance with regards to sourcing and selection for the company.
Sourcing from active and passive candidate pools, the Recruiter develops pools of qualified candidates for current and future position openings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Active and passive sourcing for real time position fulfillment as well as pipelining for future openings and specific outreach opportunities;
- Perform telephone screens (requires active participation in the development of phone screen questionnaires;
- Interview scheduling for the local office;
- Ensure that applicant tracking is maintained and complete;
- Develop a strong understanding of our positions and duties;
- Represent the company at colleges & universities to support our On-Campus Recruitment programs;
- Influence, manage and maintain recruitment policies and selection procedures;
- Work closely with the Human Resources Manager and other Recruiters to build consistent position descriptions and requirements;
- Work closely with the Human Resources Manager with regards to requisition management;
- Assist HR Manager with influencing and educating hiring managers with regards to AA requirements and processes on an on-going basis;
- Develop strong understanding of employment arrangements that are available through the company;
- Ensure appropriate internal communications throughout the selection, offer and hire processes (hiring managers, IT, Human Resources, Accounting);
- Actively engage with gathering market data through recruitment processes.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or the equivalent required;
- Work history must reflect at least five (5) years’ recent experience in a position that was solely dedicated to the recruitment function;
- Work history must include a minimum of two (2) years recruiting for similar or professional positions (engineering and other technical);
- Experience related to job description development and questionnaires related to qualifying candidates may be considered in lieu of experience recruiting engineering and technical roles;
- Experience in the Oil & Gas and/or Industrial/Bulk Material Handling industries strongly preferred;
- Candidate must live within a commutable distance to the local office;
- Working knowledge of the FLSA is a plus;
- Ability to adapt between manual and electronic processes;
- Ability to adjust to rapid changes in priorities;
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Microsoft Word in required and Teams preferred);
- Ability to independently learn sharing platforms such as Zoom or other platforms used by applicable organizations to the level in which support for the use of the platform can be provided to hiring managers as needed;
- Ability and knowledge of social media platform that allows appropriate use and the ability to build appropriate networks;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Working Conditions:
- Part-time work schedule that requires routine in-office attendance with flexibility for some work from home;
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-Private office) but may require occasional travel to off-site work locations;
- Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;
- May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
Physical Requirements (With or without Reasonable Accommodation):
- Must be able to lift and carry ordinary business items estimated at five (5) pounds;
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits employee to communicate effectively;
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation which permits employee to conduct analysis and investigations;
- Sufficient manual dexterity which permit the employee to perform routine office duties;
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations.
