POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Field Sales Representative for World's Finest Chocolate, you will be responsible for selling our premium chocolate fundraising products and comprehensive fundraising solutions to schools, organizations, and other groups. This is an outside sales role with responsibilities including cold calling, in-person sales meetings, using best practices to run strong fundraisers and ongoing customer relationship management in accordance with established protocols. You will report to and work closely with the Director, US Sales- Fundraising to meet and exceed sales targets, utilize a mapping tool and CRM for tracking and optimizing your sales activities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Execute the list-based territory to engage potential customers through cold calls, networking, and market research to generate new business opportunities.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct regular in-person presentations of our fundraising program, showcasing the value of World's Finest Chocolate products and program to share the benefits of our fundraising solutions.
- Program Kickoffs: Initiate the sales process by coordinating with sponsors to kick off their fundraising campaigns, providing them with all necessary resources and support, as well as providing a motivational, in school fundraiser launch in front of students and staff.
- Strong Communication: Ensure clear communication with sponsors and provide all communication through the fundraising process to maximize campaign success.
- Utilize Tools: Effectively use World’s Finest’s tools such as the Sale Tracker and WFC Sponsored Prize Program to manage sales activities, track progress, and ensure successful execution of fundraising campaigns. Your Resource Kit provides World’s Finest’s social media assets, letters, kickoff videos, and more!
- CRM: Utilize our customer relationship management platform to maintain pipeline visibility, manage follow-ups, document recent prospecting, and align with your manager and team.
- End-of-Sale Wrap-Up: Conduct wrap-up meetings with sponsors to review fundraiser outcomes, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement. Re-sign customers for the next season and solicit referrals.
- Performance Tracking: Regularly report on sales performance metrics including visits, presentations, close rates, total sales, and client retention. Participate in scheduled meetings with the Sales Manager to discuss successes, challenges, and progress towards quotas.
- 1-3 years of experience in field sales, fundraising experience as plus but not required.
- Proven experience in field sales, preferably within fundraising or related industries.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and mapping tools for sales tracking and optimization.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and manage a full time, remote work schedule effectively.
- Willingness to travel within the designated market for in-person client meetings and events, with access to a reliable, personal vehicle for transportation. Overnight travel not required.
- Salary & Commission: Competitive base salary plus commission structure tied to sales performance, with potential opportunities for bonus pay and additional time off based on achieving performance metrics.
