The CHMHA Outpatient Team has fantastic opportunities open for an Intake Specialist.
Our Intake Specialist will be responsible for performing the clinical intakes. They will gather all required clinical, financial, and demographic information to complete intake paperwork and coordinate immediate treatment needs of the client to ensure continuity between intake and service provision.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather all required clinical, financial and demographic information to complete intake paperwork
- Maintain awareness/knowledge of paperwork/procedure changes related to intake
- Maintains collaborative working relationships with other staff and departments, specifically, Medical Services, MIS and Billing
- Completes WAC satisfactory paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Fulfills WAC training requirements on an annual basis
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and resolution as needed
- Visually supervise medication distribution as necessary
- Promotes a safe, calm and secure environment with supportive care and family-driven services that promote recovery and wellness
- Demonstrates respect for consumer rights and maintains confidentiality per Agency policy
- Demonstrates a commitment to cultural competence

- Maintains records in accordance with Agency, County and State guidelines
- Maintain resident and staff confidentiality at all times
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Master’s level MHP status required with a minimum of one year’s experience providing direct services to the identified populations (Seriously and Persistently Mentally Ill adults)
- Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration must be obtained within 60 days of hire in absence of a license
- Demonstrated diagnosis and accurate assessment skills, including mental status exams, lethality and level of functioning
- Knowledge of King County Mental Health System, specifically, Mental Prepaid Health Plan, Tier System and Medical Necessity Criteria
- Demonstrated knowledge of psychotropic medications and ability to assess need for emergency medication
- Ability to work non-traditional schedule as required for supporting clients at their housing site
- Ability to perform duties outlined in description within reasonable accommodation
