Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.

The board-certified physicians in the Oncology department evaluate and treat all types of cancer and blood disorders. At Straub's newly renovated Outpatient Treatment Center, patients receive blood transfusions, chemotherapy, nutritional support, antibiotics and other IV therapies. Straub's Certified Oncology Nurses are trained to provide education and emotional support to patients and their families. The Straub Cancer Center team includes board certified physicians, nurses, registered dietitians, outpatient and inpatient staff, and a quality of life professional. In addition to treatment and therapy, the Center offers family education and support group sessions to help patients and their families cope with illness.

As the Patient Navigator – Registered Nurse, you will help to provide compassionate, supportive patient care. This talented and committed individual initiates the management of service activities for these patients, facilitating multidisciplinary communication and providing expert oversight and education to achieve the best patient outcomes. We are looking for someone with superb communications and patient care skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Exempt: Yes

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Current Hawai'i Registered Nurse License. Three (3) years of clinical experience in nursing area of specialty demonstrating abilities for self-management, critical thinking, problem resolution, and proven ability to work with diverse personalities and situations. Current BLS/HCP Card.
