Bell Service-Bellhop

Transports the baggage of hotel guests in a prompt and courteous manner. Assists with group check-ins/check-outs. Ensures guests receive superior service.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or the equivalent.

Transports hotel guests' baggage in a prompt and courteous manner.

• Greets and converses with guests. Provides needed assistance with baggage upon arrival in Valet area.
• Carefully removes baggage from car, truck, or bus and transports to room after guest has checked in.
• Picks up luggage upon departure and transports to appropriate area.
• Maintains accurate records of all baggage stored in the storage area.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Must be able to read, understand, and speak fluently in English. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to inform guests of the hotel's facilities and services available.

Physical Requirements

Specialized Work Experience

• Must be able to lift and carry upwards of 100 pounds. Ability to lift, bend, walk, reach overhead, and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to tolerate temperature extremes while working inside and outside of the hotel.
