Senior Property Claims Adjuster

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Senior Property Claims Adjuster to join their field claims team. In this role, you'll provide a consistent and satisfying claims experience by effectively investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling property claims. You'll also leverage cutting-edge technologies, including drones and virtual claim-handling software, to guide clients through the claims process safely and efficiently. This role allows for remote work within the assigned territory, which includes Fargo, ND, and Northwestern Minnesota.
Compensation:
Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $75,000 to $90,000, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate claims by determining applicable policy coverage and evaluating damages.
- Initiate contact with insureds, claimants, and other relevant parties to gather information, record statements, and explain the claims process.
- Perform physical and/or virtual property inspections, evaluate damages, and prepare written estimates in line with policy provisions and liability.
- Utilize innovative technologies such as drones and virtual tools for inspections.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process.
Qualifications:
- Field property adjusting experience with an insurance carrier (independent adjusters are not eligible).
- Relevant construction experience or knowledge.
- Must reside in Fargo, ND, or the surrounding area, including Northwestern Minnesota.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and claims estimating software such as Xactimate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using drones for property inspections.
- Advanced construction and mitigation knowledge.
- Multilingual abilities.
Licensing and Physical Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicle.
- Must obtain a Part 107 drone license for roof inspections within 5 months of hire (passing the exam within three attempts).
- Capable of lifting, carrying, and climbing ladders (up to 50 pounds) and performing inspections in unfavorable conditions or inclement weather.
- Holds or can obtain adjuster licensing required by relevant states.
