Media Relations Associate Manager – Accenture Americas

Accenture is looking for a dynamic public relations pro to support the strategy, execution, and coordination of a comprehensive media relations program across several functional areas within Accenture Americas. The role is responsible for generating media coverage in support of Accenture’s business, leaders, and thought leadership.

This role supports the executive thought leadership platform in collaboration with the Office of the CEO, involving the development of communications for executive media engagements aligned with business priorities.

This individual will work closely with Accenture’s Americas Marketing & Communications team and collaborate with national and global media relations colleagues to leverage company announcements and thought leadership for storytelling, complementing the media relations program with social media content.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a media strategy for the Americas, aligning with Accenture’s business objectives and innovations.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address media inquiries, ensuring a coordinated representation of Accenture’s position.

  • Work with the executive positioning team to develop platforms for the Office of the CEO.

  • Coach spokespeople for media engagements, crafting materials that resonate with target audiences.

  • Drive content development for media relations on client stories and thought leadership.

  • Conduct media audits and analysis to identify opportunities and mitigate challenges.

  • Support tracking of media program success and monitor the competitive landscape.

  • Manage relationships with key journalists and client peers.

  • Work with the social media team on initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 5 years in PR/corporate communications with a focus on technology and thought leadership.

  • Experience providing strategic counsel to senior leadership.

  • Experience utilizing media measurement tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong relationships with business and trade press.

  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.

  • Able to leverage social media to enhance media relations.

  • Global perspective and understanding of the business marketplace.

Work Requirements: Must be based in an Accenture office. Some travel required (25%).

Compensation Information

Compensation varies by location and role:

  • California: $73,800 to $182,600
  • Colorado: $73,800 to $157,800
  • District of Columbia: $78,500 to $168,000
  • Illinois: $68,300 to $157,800
  • New York: $68,300 to $182,600
