Your Team Responsibilities
MSCI, Inc. seeks Executive Director, Climate Products in New York, NY to partner with senior product managers, as well as colleagues across the organization and product lines including sales, marketing, finance, corporate development, and legal in helping to achieve commercial product objectives.
Your Key Responsibilities
Work within the product management team to help define commercial models for new and existing products, evaluate market dynamics, develop sales and marketing campaigns, and support sales activities (including developing collateral, pitchbooks, user guides, talking points and documentation; attending client pitches; designing sales campaigns, and helping to organize periodic training sessions for coverage for new product launches or enhancements). Grow subscription revenue by developing new products, enhancing and finding new ways to monetize existing products, and preparing strategic and tactical regional sales and marketing plans. Lead the design and execution of commercial product strategy for the banking segment by assessing and evaluating key market dynamics (e.g., competitors, key providers, regulation, client needs) and consolidating these into a competitive business strategy (inclusive of business unit strategy, segment strategy, and board strategy). Manage any partnerships and conduct due-diligence on acquisition targets that could benefit the banking segment. Directly support our client facing organization by responding to questions from MSCI’s sales related to our products, pricing, and licensing and helping to negotiate commercial terms of agreements; developing collateral, pitchbooks, user guides, talking points and documentation.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration or a related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: working at or serving global banks; working with and managing cross-functional teams; utilizing experience as business generalist including driving product ideation, development, and execution; utilizing experience with pricing or packaging of new product launches across financial services and/or technology solutions; utilizing quantitative experience including performing risk modeling; utilizing experience growing revenue in challenging market conditions by finding new ways to monetize existing solutions including identifying new client segments, launch of sales campaigns, new collateral development, execution of pricing levers, and creative product design; evaluating market dynamics to develop a sales strategy. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. Offered salary is between $240,000 and $270,400 per year. 40 hours per week.
