We operate three distribution centers and have a trucking firm that supplies our stores. Position Overview:

The Seafood Specialist plays a key role in enhancing the guest experience with a focus on seafood and fresh produce. This role involves engaging with guests, educating them about seafood options, and maintaining high standards of food safety and display.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Provide exceptional shopping experiences by greeting and assisting guests with seafood products.
• Collaborate with the Meat Manager to drive store and department success through excellent guest service.
• Manage department financials, including sales and inventory optimization.
• Oversee merchandising plans, product rotation, and department cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain a safe shopping environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• Passion for food, especially seafood, with knowledge of cooking and preparation techniques.

• Experience in product ordering, inventory control, and seafood operations.

• Strong organizational, financial, and math skills.

• Understanding of department operations, food safety, and visual merchandising.

• Familiarity with professional kitchen tools.

• Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.

• Two years of experience in a meat or seafood department.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform tasks in an office and store environment, including lifting and moving objects.
