Posting Summary
The Instructional Designer is responsible for working with faculty to conceptualize and develop medical education learning sessions that use the science of learning and best educational practices to achieve learning objectives. Responsibilities include advising on session design, the production of quality independent learning materials, readiness assessments and engaging, active class sessions within a strict timeline.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field required
- Experience with instructional design methodologies, course and curriculum design in various modalities including learning outcome development and curriculum alignment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adhere to deadlines
Desirable Qualifications
- Possess the ability to analyze and synthesize technical content
Anticipated Pay Range
$54,000-$59,000

Special Conditions
- Bargaining unit position, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy
- External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period
- A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees
- Background Check required for this position
