Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area and two to four years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education.

- 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- May need to work/travel beyond normal work schedule.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; and talk or hear. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, parents, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Proficient in the use of e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software and use of the Internet to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others.
- Demonstrated organizational skills in handling and prioritizing multiple and complex assignments/projects and maintaining records.
Additional Position Information
Under the direction of the Dual Enrollment Director, the Dual Enrollment Specialist performs the administrative and professional duties essential to the progression of students through the student life cycle from recruitment through transition of high school students into an early college experience. The Dual Enrollment Program Specialist oversees the enrollment of high school students to the college’s dual enrollment program. Participates in the generation of funding and resources and in the internal and external promotion and representation of program activities. Provides and/or coordinates advisory and support services to student participants as appropriate to program activities.
Job Duties
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborates with community partners to recruit and retain dual enrollment students by providing support for all dual enrollment admissions and registration activities including new student admissions advising and registration process according to program policies and procedures as they relate to dual enrollment and enrollment management.
- Manages the dual enrollment application, registration, and pre-post-enrollment advising process which includes decisioning student applications based off a set criteria each term, and assisting admissions with student residency verification status.
- Works closely with Coordinator completing roster verifications, applicant tracking for incomplete files and verifying records and reporting in Slate and Banner systems. Assists in the planning of programs for secondary school students including seminars/workshops and campus visits.
- Verifies accuracy of Dual Enrollment grant amounts from Financial Aid for State Auditing purposes and as outlined by the Tennessee Students Aid Corporation (TSAC) and the dual enrollment procedures including processing of consortium agreements.
- Oversees the dual enrollment check request stipend process such as annual membership dues and places Tiger buy orders for VP and Dual Enrollment offices.
- Other duties as assigned.
