Assistant Director, Graduate Recruitment

The Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions will manage, plan, develop, and implement initiatives for recruiting graduate students to all UNE graduate programs. The Assistant Director will also assist the Associate Director/Director with general department management and the supervision of administrative staff.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead recruitment efforts for all UNE graduate programs, including planning and managing events (on-campus and virtual) and collaborating with student ambassadors.
- Advise prospective students through meetings, phone calls, and emails to guide them through the application process.
- Oversee outreach to UNE undergraduates, pre-health clubs, and other colleges/universities to recruit qualified students.
- Develop strategies to recruit underrepresented students and ensure effective communication flows for program inquiries.
- Manage recruitment data, prepare reports, and analyze trends.
- Assist with website management for graduate program admissions and recruitment.
- Provide campus tours and support other departmental functions as needed.
- Supervise Graduate Admissions Coordinators and Administrative Assistants.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Oversee recruitment travel, marketing programs, and special admissions events.
- Supervise the creation and publication of admissions materials.
- Regularly meet with the Associate Director/Director and other staff to evaluate recruitment efforts.
- May include functional and administrative supervision of various staff members.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in student services, business, or related field preferred, along with 2-4 years of relevant higher education experience, including at least 2 years in admissions, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
- Strong multitasking abilities and experience managing a high-volume, diverse workload.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external partners.
- Strong public speaking skills and ability to present both internally and externally.
- Understanding of the educational goals and objectives of a private university with diverse graduate and professional programs preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
- Valid Driver’s License.
