Product Management Analyst - Fitting

PURPOSE
This procedure defines and details the function, reporting relationships, responsibilities, duties and expectations of performance of the Product Management Analyst - Fitting.
BASIC FUNCTION
The basic function of the Product Management Analyst - Fitting is to support the product planning and product marketing function through effective fitting research, business planning, interdepartmental coordination/collaboration, quantitative analysis, and documentation/information archiving.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Product Management Analyst - Fitting reports to the Sr. Product Manager.
The Product Management Analyst - Fitting does not have direct reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Management Analyst - Fitting is responsible for:
Product Planning of Fitting
- Conduct marketing & field research for fitting system development and product planning.
- Project manage updates to fitting systems with other teams to align with business goals and market demand.
- Gathering research and insights from market trends, input from the field and customers to inform future fitting development
- Take advantage of survey resources to validate new ideas and better understand opportunities in the fitting market.
- Gather feedback directly from fitters and become the company expert of what systems, components, methodologies, and offerings are desired by these stakeholders.
- Work to expand fitting visibility with improvements to online selectors, increased access/visibility to fitting tools with accounts, and overall improvements in fitting communications.
- Conduct quantitative analysis on profitability considerations around fitting.
- Support of requests from SRI business planning teams to ensure successful global fitting alignment.
- Attend global video conference calls with SRI product planning team. Support requests as needed.
- Work closely with R&D during product development to provide marketing and design support and ensure products meet fitting needs.
- Respond to SRI global business inquiries (in video calls, emails, or Teams channels/chats).
Sales Support
- Assisting with training customer service on how to fit company products.
- Support sales-related product presentations and training. (Sales meetings (globally), key account training).
- Strategize and advise on fitting SKUs and set makeups to ensure dealer/market needs are met. Collaborate with sales team and SRI to determine optimal SKUs.
Creative Support
- Outline key product manual content (F&Bs) to support creative team for all fitting systems. Create useful charts and comparisons between product offerings. Manage/archive all key specs and product-related information.
- Assist in creation of field manuals, other custom focused club content where needed.
- Outline/support R&D testing working with R&D team and/or third-party testing firms to support marketing claims beneficial to fitting.
- Review/confirm key documents prior to release for accuracy (product manuals, catalogs, website content, etc.).
- Outline key training content and sometimes videos to train dealers, fitters, and key partners.
- Support media relations questions and interviews as primary point of contact for fitting questions.
Admin/legal
- Support IP/Trademark team requests in US and Japan. Support and train RND to use current logos/trademarks.
TRAVEL
Moderate travel should be expected to fitting accounts, some sales events.
EXPECTATIONS AND MEASUREMENTS OF PERFORMANCE
Product Management Analyst - Fitting of Dunlop Sports Americas will be deemed to be performing in a satisfactory manner when the following are being accomplished:
- Deadlines: Projects and tasks are effectively managed through completion in a timely fashion deadlines/milestones are met.
- Communication: All information, reports, and progress associated with projects and executions are communicated effectively with stakeholders.
- Quality of work: Content created is free from errors and aligned with brand position and strategy.
- Teamwork: Projects and interactions with colleagues are constructive, collaborative, professional, respectful, and effective.
- Employee development and attitude: Employee shows growth in job knowledge, versatility, communication, and marketing skill and motivates direct reports to achieve the same.
- Service levels and responsiveness to SRI Global Business team and Sales Company Executives: Service levels, response time, and levels of support to global initiatives.
All of the expectations outlined above will be monitored by comparative assessments, interviews with managers/colleagues/direct reports, and evaluation by supervisor. When possible, objective quantitative measures will be used.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 5+ years of work experience
- 2+ years of work experience as a fitter or similar role
- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, engineering or related field
- Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze (proficient with spreadsheets)
- Well-developed presentation skills
- Project Management and Business Administration Experience
- Golf equipment expertise
