Summary
The Division of Genetics is seeking to hire a full-time clinical and/or biochemical geneticist to join the faculty of Baylor College of Medicine at CHRISTUS Children's in San Antonio. This position includes an academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and full benefits package. The successful candidate will join a team of four clinical geneticists, a biochemical geneticist, and nine genetic counselors.
Through partnership with CHRISTUS Health System and Baylor, CHRISTUS Children's is the first and only freestanding 204-bed children's hospital in the city and serves as a focal point for pediatric and maternal fetal care throughout the community and region. There are over 170 Baylor College of Medicine faculty in 26 specialties and a pediatric residency program at CHRISTUS Children's.
Primary responsibilities will include outpatient genetics clinic, specialty clinics, inpatient consultation, call coverage, and participation in learner education. The position is supported by genetics clinic staff, genetic counselors, metabolic dietitian, metabolic nurse, and social worker. The Voelcker Clinical Research Center provides support for faculty involved with research activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have an MD, DO or MD/PhD degree, be board certified or board eligible with the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics, must have or obtain a Texas medical license, and possess outstanding clinical skills.
