Lehman College is seeking an experienced professional with advanced marketing and communications skills. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Communications and Technology, the ideal candidate will assist the Director in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and communication plans targeted at prospective students, admission applicants, entering students, and current students to help the College achieve its strategic plan, enrollment, retention, and student success goals.
The incumbent will have the ability to think both strategically and creatively. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate across Enrollment Management departments to develop strategic communications campaigns that support recruitment, enrollment, retention, and student success initiatives.
The incumbent will assist the Director in designing and executing a comprehensive, multi-level, multi-platform strategic communications plan for Enrollment Management, making optimal use of the College's website, CRM systems, text messaging platforms, and social media channels. They will also assist with managing departmental websites, newsletters, postcards, and other marketing materials.
The incumbent will ensure a single, unified, and coherent voice/branding when communicating with all students from preadmission through post-graduation. They will also assist in developing and analyzing key marketing effectiveness metrics, translating data into recommendations for revising or optimizing media strategy and tactics, and tracking campaign effectiveness. Additional responsibilities will be assigned as needed.
Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Assist in managing and coordinating all aspects of the CRM system and other communication tools.
- Assist in developing communications and marketing strategies to achieve awareness, recruiting, and enrollment goals.
- Consult with team members and departments to assess needs and determine marketing design and technical specifications.
- Assist in developing communication messages that meet the College’s needs, align with branding standards, and effectively impact the intended audience(s), ensuring accuracy of facts, correct language, and a consistent narrative.
- Assist in coordinating the efforts of enrollment management professionals to implement and disseminate targeted electronic media campaigns.
- Create and maintain contact lists and other content associated with electronic media campaigns.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of enhanced communication for prospective, entering, and current students.
- Communicate with the campus Webmaster regarding updates to and maintenance of the office’s website.
- Attend staff meetings and training as required.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required.
OTHER / PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent writing, editing, and marketing skills with proven ability to customize communications to multiple audiences
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication abilities
- Experience developing and implementing communications strategies utilizing CRM systems and or email marketing tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively; self-starter with a positive approach to collaborate with enrollment team
- Experience with Adobe CS5 Creative Suite/Photoshop/Illustrator or other graphic design tools and web editing software
- Literacy of Mac and or Windows operating systems, including mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of HTML

- May coordinate aspects of student entry from point of allocation to include orientation, advisement, and collection of admitted student documents

Salary commensurate with education and experience, within approved salary range of $52,267 to $54,313.
