Position Purpose:

Receives operational direction from the LPN Supervisor and Maternal Child Program RN Manager. Works cooperatively with the care team to provide quality healthcare and exemplary customer service. Collects patient data and coordinates with the provider for timely interventions. Works with front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely waiting room management. Adapts procedures to meet the position's requirements. Performs medication administration and vaccinations within the clinic.

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:

  • Room patients in OB/GYN and Pediatrics following company standards. Utilize departmental standing orders to satisfy HEDIS requirements at each patient encounter.
  • Collect and document patient information, including vital signs, chief complaint, medications, allergies, health risk screens, and immunization status while respecting privacy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, mid-level practitioners, and according to company standards and policies.
  • Assist co-workers with duties, including floating between Pediatrics and OB/GYN, and travel to alternate clinic locations when needed.
  • Organize and standardize exam and treatment rooms, stocking and cleaning daily and sterilizing necessary instruments.
  • Respond to telephone messages and patient care tasks daily and document all interactions in the medical record in a timely manner.
  • Participate in training new employees, including completing orientation checklists and assisting with competency training.
  • Maintain compliance related to laboratory QC management and waive testing, including clinic supplies and pediatric vaccine storage.
  • Perform other job-related duties in Pediatrics and OB/GYN as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
  • Current NV LPN license or temporary NV LPN license with the ability to obtain a permanent license
  • Current CPR certification or ability to attain it within 30 days of employment
  • 1+ years of clinical experience
  • Able to perform complex LPN responsibilities within the clinical scope
  • Knowledge or ability to learn and apply job functions
  • Frequent use of advanced clinical and decision-making skills
  • Good communication skills, excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills, effective time management, and organizational capability
  • Computer experience with Windows-based applications
  • Able to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and in writing
  • Able to react calmly and effectively in emergencies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive familiarity with pediatric vaccine requirements

Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour, based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, benefits include a comprehensive package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (subject to eligibility requirements).
