The Associate Chief Nursing Executive (ACNE), Patient Care Services (PCS), serves as a key member of a leadership team in an advanced academic healthcare system. This role supports an inter-professional team and patient-centered care delivery, fostering collaboration and excellence in clinical care, education, and research. The ACNE oversees inpatient nursing services, assisting the Chief Nursing and Patient Care Services Executive (CNE) in managing nursing/patient care services, including standards, staffing, strategic planning, and compliance. Responsibilities include enhancing clinical practice environments, ensuring quality and safety, and contributing to education and research.

Minimum Qualifications
- A valid California Registered Nurse license.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in Nursing.
- Master’s degree in nursing or related field.
- 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in a complex acute care setting.
- Academic medical center experience.
- Experience in financial and quality data analysis.
- Experience in a complex unionized environment.
- Success with quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Strong conceptual nursing base and expertise in professional practice models.
- Effective nurse recruitment and retention strategies.
- Commitment to developing clinical leaders.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
- Strong financial acumen and innovative approaches to enhance value.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in field of practice preferred.
- Doctorate in nursing.
- 5-7 years of recent nurse manager experience in acute care.
