Under the general supervision of the Business Office Manager, the Insurance Coordinator (or verifier) verifies insurance benefits and determines co-pay based on insurance contracts. Candidate will enjoy positive interaction with patients, insurance providers, and the clinical staff.

Mountain View Surgery Center of Glendale is looking for an Insurance Verifier.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact patients regarding money due, procedure being performed, and site of surgery prior to date of surgery.
• Verify insurance benefits by reviewing our contract and patient’s quoted benefits.
• Determine co-pay, and post all insurance and billing comments.
• Enter all information into patient accounting system.
• Begin chart and pre-admission process, reviewing and confirming patient information.
• Follow standards, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for business office according to accepted standards.

Required Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
