Here's how an Human Resources Student contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Get exposure to the various areas of Human Resources including recruitment, workforce diversity, training, professional development, health & wellness, and HR special projects and general administrative functions.
  • Assist with research, coordination and administration of Human Resources programs and initiatives.
  • Assist the HR team with planning and executing career fairs.
  • Assist with training coordination and facilities course set-up.
  • Supporting the team by preparing for daily events and follow-up activities (e.g. scheduling and coordinating meetings, maintaining action lists and reminders, and meeting/interview preparation).
  • File and organize confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • May hold or be working towards an associate degree or bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field.
  • 18 years of age or older and able to work in Los Angeles, California.
  • Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a background check and substance abuse test conducted by a third party.
  • A desire to pursue a career in Human Resources working in the construction industry.
  • Ideal candidate will have previous work experience in an office environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and stated objectives while managing shifting priorities.
