Role Overview: Dr. Mitzi Gonzales is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Associate I to join his dynamic team focusing on neurodegenerative diseases.

The Clinical Research Associate I will assist in coordinating noncomplex research studies under the direction of various supervising staff. Responsibilities include data collection, prescreening, scheduling participants, assisting in IRB submissions, and ensuring compliance with guidelines.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collects, evaluates and/or abstracts clinical research data.
  • May assist in designing forms for data collection/abstraction.
  • Enters and processes clinical research data into Electronic Data Systems (EDCs).
  • Completes Case Report Forms (CRFs).
  • Schedules research participants and provides patient contact for long-term follow-ups.
  • Assists with regulatory submissions to the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
  • Assists with clinical trial budgets and patient research billing.
  • Responsible for sample preparation, shipping, and maintaining study supplies.
  • Ensures compliance with protocols and objectives of clinical research.
  • Maintains strict patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.
  • May serve as a point of contact for external sponsors.

Department-Specific Duties:

  • Transportation of research medications.
  • Performs study-related assessments and questionnaires.
  • Maintains organized research files.
  • Assists with preparing manuscripts and research documents.
  • Performs literature reviews.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Preferred clinical research experience.
