Overview:We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Analyst to join our team at USRL Tulsa LLC, a leading transloading company specializing in sweeteners. This role ensures that all products meet regulatory, customer, and company quality standards while maintaining operational efficiency in our transloading processes. The Quality Analyst will play a critical role in monitoring and improving quality control systems, addressing issues proactively, and upholding our commitment to excellence.Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance:
- Inspect incoming, in-process, and outgoing sweetener shipments to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Conduct sampling, testing, and documentation to verify product integrity and consistency.
- Monitor the transloading process to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Identify and address deviations in procedures or product quality promptly.
- Ensure that all operations comply with applicable local, state, and federal food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, FSMA) and industry standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes impacting the sweetener industry.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
- Generate detailed quality reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Create quality processes, standard policies, and documentation as required.
- Provide training to staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.
- Assist in developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues to identify root causes.
- Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Work closely with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless quality integration across departments.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to address quality-related inquiries and requirements.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in quality assurance or a similar role in food manufacturing or transloading environments.
- Experience with sweeteners or bulk food products is preferred.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance methodologies.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and procedures.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Google applications, Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Combination of office and warehouse environments with occasional exposure to loud noise, temperature variations, and heavy machinery.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical inspections when necessary.
