Jobsite Assistant

We are currently seeking driven and dedicated individuals to join our construction team! A Jobsite Assistant performs a variety of general labor tasks associated with the building of our self-storage structures. Our ideal candidate is seeking a long-term position within a growing organization with a willingness to learn from others. Related experience is a plus; however, it is not a requirement.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Assist in building and positioning forms for pouring concrete and dismantling structures after use, using saws, hammers, nails, bolts, or form hardware
• Assist in installing fence poles that may require light welding
• Assist in general landscaping
• Install underground pipe and trenching
• Install and tie rebar in footings
• Dig trenches by using hand and power tools
• Paint and install bollards
• Perform a variety of tasks and duties that may often change as the work conditions require
• Ensure that job sites are cleared of debris and hazardous materials
• Apply cleaning solvents, caulking, adhesives, and sealants
• Operate skid steer and backhoe

QUALIFICATIONS

• A reliable method of transportation
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Travel required to job sites (approx. 75%)
• Ability to use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks consistently
• Good communication skills to work effectively and safely
• Ability to work overtime, as required

PAY RATE: $16 an hour
