Turn your passion for agriculture and livestock into a career as an independent sales representative with BigIron Auction Company. In this position, you’ll work alongside farmers and ranchers, helping them sell livestock safely and efficiently via our full-service online auction site.

About the Role

As an Independent Sales Representative, you have a tremendous opportunity to generate significant income and create your own success while participating in our proven growth formula. In this role, you’ll establish business relationships with local individuals within a territory assigned exclusively to you, encouraging clients to list, promote, and sell livestock. What’s more, we’re invested in your success and provide a comprehensive onboarding experience to ensure you will thrive in your new position. This is a commission-only position.

Role Responsibilities

Independent Sales Representatives truly create their own opportunities by providing quality in everything they do:

  • Educate prospective customers on the buying and selling process
  • Encourage prospects to sell livestock within our premier online auction environment
  • Promote, Distribute, and Market the BigIron Livestock Platform and monthly sales as mutually agreed upon by the ISR and Livestock District Manager. Utilize marketing and advertising templates provided by the Company for promoting client livestock consignments.
  • Understand and manage consignments with the company listing platform and or other applications needed to properly upload agreements, pictures, and videos.
  • Prepare and assist the seller with the write-up of each listing. Provide any percentage of colored, short ears or unusual physical characteristics.
  • Collaborate with BigIron’s staff to ensure a first-class experience for sellers
  • Set sales goals to ensure your future success

Qualifications

  • Experience working with and handling livestock
  • Prior sales experience
  • Prior agricultural experience
  • Prior auction experience
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft products such as; Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
