Roles and Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Create and maintain a clear and compelling product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals and customer feedback. Engage with stakeholders to elicit and chronicle intricate software requirements, ensuring congruence with business objectives and required process efficiency. Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries, clarifications, and feedback loops. Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and risks. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and continuously optimize product features.
- Specification Writing: Translate complex business requirements into clear and comprehensive software specifications, including functional and non-functional requirements, EPICs, Features, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Product Demos: Conduct regular stakeholder meetings, demos, and presentations to keep all parties informed and engaged.
- Development Team Liaison: Work closely with development teams, guiding them through the product development lifecycle from planning to deployment. Serve as the conduit between operations and software developers, converting business requirements into technical directives and vice versa.
- Workflow Analysis: Analyze and understand the intricacies of our healthcare business workflows and processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Software-Driven Process Advancement: Propose software-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency in collaboration with the development and operational teams.
- Prioritization: Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on a deep understanding of user needs and market requirements
- Testing Protocol: Collaborate with operational leaders to assemble testing teams and methodologies. Ensure thorough testing, prompt feedback for development, and readiness for software deployment.
- Training & User Support: Coordinate with department heads or trainers to facilitate seamless adoption of new software tools, addressing potential operational hurdles.
- Methodology: Champion Agile methodologies, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
- Security: Collaborate with IT/IS divisions to ensure adherence to HITRUST standards and industry best practices.
- Regulatory Adherence: Engage with the Compliance Department to ensure conformity with state and federal regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Work with stakeholders and application owners to validate that the software conforms to the defined specifications and performs as envisioned.
- Undertake any other relevant tasks as designated.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 5 years of professional exposure to Product Ownership, business process analysis, and optimization, predominantly with LEAN methodologies.
- Accreditation in LEAN, Six Sigma, BABOK, Agile, CPO, CSPO, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical prowess and problem-diagnosis capability.
- Familiarity with process charting tools, including Visio
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Analytical mindset with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making.
- A Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business, IT, or Healthcare disciplines
