Fiber Optic Production Operator

We make fiber-optic passive components and are looking for new team members for the production floor.
Shift: Day.
Hours: 40 hours a week.
Pay: Starting $18.90/hour.
Works Schedule: Between 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (with 30 minutes lunch break).
Essential Duties
LIGHTEL designs, manufactures, and supplies a broad range of products and services to the fiber optic industry worldwide. Since our beginning in 1999, we have continued our solid growth pattern, and have become a recognized leader in bringing ELemental innovations to LIGHT. Starting out with Coupler Workstations for manufacturing Fused Biconic Taper products, LIGHTEL has expanded into Fused Fiber components, Micro-Optic passive optical components, Video Microscopes for inspection purposes, and many other fiber optic related products and services. Our coupler workstations are updated to reflect the latest in software, packaging, and control systems. Our broad range of analog and digital video microscope products keeps network down time to a minimum, and allows documentation through an easy to use software interface.

Essential Duties
- Operate equipment involved in the production of fiber-optic components.
- Assemble fiber-optic components according to specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct quality checks at various stages of the production process to ensure components meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Handle and prepare raw materials.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Record production data, inspection results, and any relevant information accurately and timely in production logs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Legal to work in the US.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
- Team player.
