Summary of Employment Position

Under the direction and supervision of the Aurora Township Director of Community Services, the Youth
Outreach Worker is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating programs for youth and their
families in the Aurora area. The Youth Outreach Worker also oversees after school and summer
operations under the direction of the Director of Community Services.

Candidates must:

• possess at least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Master’s degree

preferred) and previous related experience working with youth aged 7-17 in a recreational
and educational capacity.

• have prior community outreach experience and knowledge of community support practices.

• be able to work a flexible schedule.

• have a valid, current driver’s license.

• bilingual in Spanish a plus.

• have the ability to pass an in-depth criminal background check and drug screen.

Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.64
