DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The Boston Red Sox Marketing Department is focused on supporting ticket sales and organizational initiatives through digital advertising, email marketing, promotions, and social media channels for the organization. We showcase both on-field and off-the-field products including player marketing, online game coverage, broadcast support, and outbound ticket sales messaging, all to encourage fan growth.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will be a vital member of the corporate marketing team, primarily responsible for managing the organization’s email marketing efforts to drive revenue, engage fans, and expand reach. This position will dedicate most of their time to overseeing and optimizing email campaigns, from creation through deployment, to support ticketing, promotions, and other marketing initiatives. This position will also provide support on other digital marketing tasks, including search, display, and social campaigns, as well as collaboration with the broader marketing, creative, and analytics teams.

This position will dedicate most of their time to overseeing and optimizing email campaigns, from creation through deployment, to support ticketing, promotions, and other marketing initiatives. This position will also provide support on other digital marketing tasks, including search, display, and social campaigns, as well as collaboration with the broader marketing, creative, and analytics teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Email Marketing Campaign Management:
- Oversee day-to-day email campaign execution, from setup through deployment and performance analysis.
- Develop and maintain the email request and deployment calendar, coordinating closely with internal teams to align with broader digital marketing initiatives.
- Track, measure, and report on email performance metrics; adjust and optimize to meet objectives.
- Collaborate with Major League Baseball, and Red Sox creative and analytics teams to ensure that all email content is compelling, on-brand, and effectively segmented for maximum impact.
- Apply email marketing best practices, including deliverability, personalization, and A/B testing to enhance engagement and revenue generation.
- Digital Marketing Campaigns Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of campaigns across digital channels, including search, display, and social media, to support key ticketing and marketing objectives.
- Assist in the maintenance of a comprehensive digital advertising calendar to ensure cohesion across email, search, display, and paid social platforms.
- Work cross-functionally to generate customized reports, sharing insights on campaign performance with internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate and develop MLB Ballpark App campaigns to support ticketing initiatives.
- 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on email marketing.
- Proficiency with CRM and email marketing platforms.
- Experience leveraging email marketing best practices, including deliverability, segmentation, testing, and performance optimization.
- Experience with digital analytics tools and campaign reporting.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for email formatting.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business units.
- Strong project management and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
