Certified Central Sterile Tech

Job Overview:
Assists the Operation Room, Labor and Delivery Nursing Units, Emergency Room, Clinics and various other departments by processing and maintaining supplies and equipment (both sterile and unsterile) required for the care, diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Certification required.
- Minimum of 1-year hospital experience required.
Preferred:
- One to two years of Central Sterile experience preferred.

- Certification required
Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):
- 3-11 p.m.
- Evening
- Per Diem
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of Central Service theory in such areas as, cleaning, isolation and the ability to adapt the knowledge to Sterile Processing.
- Responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles and unsecured areas) etc.
