Job Description Summary

A full-time Project Coordinator I is needed to oversee a new cancer survivorship research study at the Hollings Cancer Center focused on digital health interventions for cancer survivors with depression. The coordinator will work with researchers, clinicians, patients and families in the clinical setting. The coordinator will participate in technology development guided by user-centered design principles and oversee recruitment, intervention delivery, data collection and data management activities for this study. The coordinator will join a cancer survivorship research team and also support a randomized controlled trial testing the effects of a supportive care intervention for head and neck cancer survivors and their caregivers. Finally, the Coordinator will oversee the development of a resource center for patients and families.

Job Description

Job Duties:

40% - Manage patient screening through EPIC and oversee recruitment and enrollment into study. Oversee intervention delivery.

15% - Perform literature reviews and assist with grant-writing and manuscript development tasks.

10% - Collaborate with members of the research team and collaborating sites in developing and implementing protocols and strategies for cancer survivorship interventions. Provides comprehensive guidance and direction to collaborators regarding study activities.

10% - Prepare and manage regulatory documentation and oversee the reporting and communications for scientific and IRB review.

10% - Assist in technology activities working with our technology development partners.

10% - Oversee data collection, data entry and data management activities, including chart abstractions from patient medical records.

5% - Supervise study team members.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

  • A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
  • General understanding of scientific theory and methods.
  • General computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with human study participants, both in person and virtually.
