Job Description:
This position will lead the development and management of marketing and communications for the Auxiliary Division in Finance and Administration and act as the first line liaison with auxiliary vendors. Using a mix of internal and external resources, this position will oversee Auxiliary Administration communication and marketing, working closely with the VP of Marketing and Communications. This role facilitates discussions regarding the College brand, drafts press releases and stories to increase visibility and awareness of the Division of Auxiliary Services to both internal and external students and stakeholders of the University of Toledo.
The successful candidate develops, executes, and manages the strategic marketing and communication priorities, activities, and initiatives for the division of Auxiliary Services including the offices of Student Union Administration, Housing and Residential Life, Student Recreational Services, Rocket Wireless, Campus ID, Summer Conference Services, and Shuttle Transportation. Serves as the subject matter expert regarding marketing and communication activities with guidance from University Marketing and Communications Division. Assists Auxiliary Departments with the implementation and management of marketing automation, building landing pages and forms, analytics, social media integration, advertising integration, and utilization of other marketing automation platform product features. Assists with digital marketing including search engine optimization, digital and video advertising, mobile promotion, social media marketing and emerging marketing technologies. Works with and through the Executive Director for Auxiliaries to make regular updates to the auxiliary website using a content management system.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or a related field required.
- 5-8 years of experience working directly with multiple departments; experience working as a functional bridge amongst external vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with content management systems and social media platforms.
Communication and other skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively with other administrators, outside agencies, and other educational institutions to plan initiatives and resolve concerns.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work with management, users and technical staff to analyze and diagnose off-track projects and provide resolution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to plan, organize, and effectively present ideas and concepts to groups.
