Wholesale Support Team Manager

We are looking for a Wholesale Support Team Manager for a 6 month contract with a top retail client based in Culver City, CA. This contractor will serve as an operational leader responsible for overseeing and supporting the wholesale team. This role will ensure the efficiency of the sales support function, contributing directly to the brand's goal of maximizing sell-in through sales tools and assets. The Wholesale Support Team Manager will work closely with the VP of Sales and cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliverables in alignment with the brand's go-to-market (GTM) initiatives and seasonal launches.
Responsibilities:
Wholesale Team Operations & Leadership:
- Lead and manage the Wholesale Support Team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Oversee team calendar, ensuring alignment with sales deliverables and deadlines.
- Maintain and manage monthly sales team documents, including sales calls and tracking deliverables.
- Ensure sample management and tracking, ensuring timely return and accountability of samples at the end of each season.
- Manage go-to-market (GTM) seasonal launches, including the execution of assets, delivery timelines, and weekly recaps to the VP of Sales.
Seasonal Asset Execution:
- Oversee cross-departmental communication on sample lines, tracking fulfillment to prelines and sales conferences.
- Collaborate with Wholesale Merchants to select seasonal styles and quantities for sales conferences.
- Place seasonal sample POs post-prebook window and manage sample costs.
- Ensure accuracy and update seasonal linesheets, collaborating with the creative team for digital updates.
- Consolidate assets for sales conferences, ensuring alignment with sales strategies.
Sales Tools & Retail Marketing Assets:
- Partner with the creative team to ensure timely delivery of seasonal Product Detail Pages (PDP), editorial, and lifestyle imagery.
- Input creative requests into project management tool (Asana) and serve as the point of contact for all sales tool creation and updates.
- Ensure the creation and updating of internal and external sales tools, ensuring consistency with branding and market needs.
Tradeshow & Event Management:
- Manage contracts, rates, placements, and logistics for all tradeshows.
- Oversee booth setup, break down, and coordination, working closely with the creative team on booth graphics and collateral.
- Coordinate appointments, track attendance, and manage tradeshow expenses within budget.
- Provide post-show analysis and profitability review; suggest improvements and additional resources based on event outcomes.
B2B Tools Management:
- Maintain relationships with customer success managers (CSMs), meeting regularly with the VP of Sales to optimize platform usage.
- Oversee the execution of B2B tools by the Wholesale Strategic Support team, ensuring proper weekly and seasonal execution.
- Troubleshoot and address any issues related to B2B platforms promptly.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in wholesale, operations, or retail support functions (preferably within fashion or apparel).
- Background in project management and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Experience managing and overseeing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana), and B2B platforms (JOOR/NuOrder).
