Assembly Line Worker

Summary Of Position

The Assembly Line Worker is responsible for performing various tasks along the production line

in the ice cream manufacturing facility. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to

quality control procedures, and the ability to efficiently support the production process while

maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Machine Setup and Pre-Operation: Assists in preparing the production floor by bringing
  
  

in materials and cleaning. Helps conduct pre-operational checks to ensure machinery is

properly clean and ready. Assists in connecting and assembling equipment for daily

production.

• Quality Control: Monitor products for consistency, quality, and packaging integrity,
  
  

identifying any defects or issues and reporting them to the supervisor.

• Adherence to Standards: Follow established guidelines and standard operating
  
  

procedures (SOPs) to ensure all products meet quality and safety regulations.

• Material Handling: Assist in the preparation and handling of raw materials, ingredients,
  
  

and packaging, ensuring they are available for smooth production flow. Applies labels to

outer packaging cases/boxes, ensures they match production information. Assembles

labeled packaging cases/boxes, maintaining pace or faster than the team member that

is packing.

• Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly clean workstations, tools, and machinery to
  
  

maintain a sanitary and safe production environment.

• Packing and Filler Operation: Packs finished ice cream products into containers,
  
  

cartons, or packages according to specified quantities and packaging standards.

Assists with manual/hand filler operations for bulk tubs/cans.

• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the proper handling of
  
  

equipment, machinery, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to meet daily production targets and
  
  

achieve company goals.

• Continuous Improvement: Participate in training programs and contribute to the
  
  

continuous improvement of the manufacturing process.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
• Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.

assembling products.

• Bending, Stooping, and Reaching: Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach regularly
  
  

during production activities.

• Manual Dexterity: Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to
  
  

operate machinery and perform tasks such as packaging and quality checks.

Work Environment

• Temperature: Ice cream manufacturing facilities are typically kept at cold temperatures,
  
  

so employees should be prepared for cooler working conditions.

• Safety Hazards: The role involves working with machinery and equipment, so safety
  
  

procedures and proper PPE must be followed at all times.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly line work is an advantage but not
  
  

required.

• Knowledge of basic safety and hygiene practices in a production environment.
  
  

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to operate basic machinery and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality control.
• Good communication skills to report issues and work with a team.
• Basic math skills for inventory tracking and production counts.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
