Position Summary: Compiles records related to ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment by performing the following duties personally. Responsible for ensuring that all critical tasks are fulfilled on a timely basis.

Critical Tasks:

  • Minimizes and preferably eliminates occurrences of overstock and out-of-stock items.
  • Establishes and evaluates materials and inventory methods and processes while identifying and recommending methods to improve efficiencies.
  • Place orders for resupply of products for administrative and operational use such as office supplies and compressed gases.
  • Prepares a variety of correspondence, reports, and manuals as directed.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of all materials/products/vendors utilized by the enterprise.
  • Maintains full knowledge of Lawson purchasing and inventory software modules.
  • Requests competitive quotes from approved vendors for materials and supplies.
  • Takes all steps necessary to prevent inventory slippage to any degree.
  • Maintains and continually updates inventory, materials usage, inventory turns, out-of-stock, late deliveries, and materials recipient data on an accurate and timely basis.
  • May perform additional clerical, administrative, and warehousing duties.
  • Ensures that vendor product and shipping errors are corrected on a rapid basis.
  • Performs all work in a manner that provides no financial benefit whatsoever to the position holder, and rejects all favors and rewards offered by suppliers while notifying supervisor of all such attempts.
  • Maintains continually updated knowledge of Group Purchasing Organization contracts to the benefit of the enterprise.
  • Prepares and submits inventory returns within vendor policy and then tracks such returns while ensuring proper credit is issued in all such cases.
  • Maintains stock levels and the warehouse environment in a highly organized, neat, and easily accessed manner.
  • Utilizes multiple electronic interfaces such as computers, databases, scanners, printers, messaging and Internet connections. Operates computer to enter and retrieve data and to type correspondence and reports.
  • Maintains high work duty productivity, completing all position duties with full accuracy on a rapid basis.
  • Performs accurate inventory and cycle counts as required by enterprise policy and notifies management of all inventory shortages and abnormal observations/data.
  • Scans materials and copies records and examines all materials for legibility while taking all steps to ensure legibility by all parties with records access.
  • Demonstrates ability to regularly change priorities to accomplish all tasks despite frequent interruptions.
  • Demonstrates ability to clearly communicate, both orally and in writing, while performing all essential functions.
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • One to three years of warehousing, supply chain, or inventory oversight experience, preferably related to medical services.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures.
  • Interest in medical subjects, patient services/care, and customer service.
  • Prior medical environment work experience is preferred.
