JOB SUMMARY

The Drapery Project Manager will follow drapery projects from concept to completion. Assisting in specification, budgeting, quotation & ordering of Architectural & Stage Draperies ensuring that all aspects of the project meet the highest standards of quality and attention to detail. Work with Bandit & local crew to support drapery installations in stage and architectural settings. As the face of Bandit Lites with our drape vendors and clients, the ideal candidate will represent the company professionally and instill confidence in our ability to provide the excellent projects we have become known for in the industry.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Understands, abides by, and instills the philosophy, policies, and procedures of Bandit Lites.
  • Work with the Integration team and purchasing manager in management of Integration Drapery Projects.
  • Interface with clients, architects, vendors & Integration team members to achieve successful drapery installations.
  • Maintain detailed accurate project documentation including measurements, fabric specifications, installation conditions, submittals, mark ups & delivery schedules.
  • Read and interpret Bandit Integration & architectural engineering drawings.
  • Assist in maintaining customer satisfaction through timely and appropriate responses to customer questions and concerns.
  • Assist in coordination of service calls and installation timelines with customers.
  • Assist the Integration division and drafting partners in the generation of accurate design proposals & Drawings.
  • Assist in design, technical, and research and development projects as assigned.
  • Assist in generating / maintaining and organizing appropriate files.

Requirements and Expectations

  • Working understanding of the theory and practical application of Theatrical Drapery.
  • Experience in drapery installation, preferably in a theatrical environment, including familiarity with large-scale installations, proper rigging, and troubleshooting installation challenges in theaters, concert venues, or event spaces.
  • Proficiency in laser & conventional measurement techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Revit) for creating and modifying technical drawings, layouts, and system designs for installations.
  • Practical experience in working environments such as churches, theaters, entertainment complexes, or similar venues.
  • Experience in project management for construction projects
  • Experience in interior design for entertainment, exhibit or retail spaces
  • Creation of interior detail drawings in Revit or AutoCAD
  • Must live or relocate to Knoxville Tennessee.
  • Must be able to work at heights.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed for installation and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and to stand/walk for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, possess strong work ethic; both reliable and punctual, the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively, Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and emergencies, excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task, physical stamina and ability to perform role requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in theatre/theatrical design

Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably with leadership and project management responsibilities
