Description

Position Overview:

The Johnson Health Tech North America Ecommerce team is an expanding team of fitness professionals building the ecommerce experience for the Bowflex, Horizon Fitness, Schwinn Fitness, and JRNY brands. The UX/UI Web Designer will be a talented individual capable of creating high-fidelity and low-fidelity wireframes that engage users, providing an intuitive ecommerce experience that reduces overhead for the user while maximizing impact for our brands. The ideal candidate will have experience operating in an e-commerce environment that includes high AOV products and subscription services, utilizing user-centered design tools and principles to inform the research, testing, design, and delivery of quality solutions to optimize the customer journey.

Responsibilities

Ecommerce is ever changing. The right person will be flexible, ready to learn, and lead the UX/UI practice, including:

  • Designing interactive experiences and features that connect with consumers and promote fitness products across domestic and international websites
  • Lead the discovery and research phase of projects to identify and understand the strategic goals, user needs, and technical constraints to define the solution
  • Create design deliverables from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity mockups and prototypes that synthesize findings from the discovery and research phase, sharing with leadership through an iterative design process
  • Provide detailed design specifications for internal and external development teams
  • Support team members and stakeholders during project/product implementation, working in an agile environment and leveraging tools such as JIRA/Atlassian to collaborate, track, and define work products
  • Evaluate the consumer’s full journey through navigation, category pages, product comparison, product detail pages (PDP), cart, checkout, and post-purchase, including the use of JRNY
  • Leverage web analytics to evaluate the consumer’s response to created experiences, identifying and capturing issues and opportunities for future enhancements
  • Facilitate brainstorming and design reviews, and present research findings and design concepts to stakeholders and articulate insights and rationale for change
  • Work with the customer experience team to create customer engagement opportunities and address friction points
  • Perform competitive eCommerce scans to identify current & emerging trends and prepare insights to capitalize or differentiate
  • Proactively analyze user problems and evaluate solutions that improve consumer experiences and deliver measurable business benefit
  • Collaborate with ecommerce, marketing, contact center, JRNY, and external teams to develop ideas that result in innovative solutions
  • Create, update, and maintain a web design system that utilizes UI components, icons, colors, standardized patterns, brand language, and identity into a cohesive and documented foundation

Requirements

Education:

  • BS/MS in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Experience Design, Interaction Design or equivalent professional experience strongly preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience as a UX practitioner, preferably in a retail or DTC manufacturer environment
  • Foundational understanding of user interface and information design principles
  • Familiarity with analyzing data for hypothesis testing & optimization, informing the design process
  • Creation of low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows
  • Experience identifying consumer challenges and formulating elegant solutions
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar web analytics platforms
  • Experience using project and UX/UI tools such as Figma, Miro, Adobe XD, and JIRA/Atlassian
  • Familiar with the capabilities and constraints of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, or Shopify templates
