Landscape Maintenance Technician

Primary Function
To ensure and maintain the greenery, landscaping and grounds of the property in alignment with the mission and core values of Stones South Bay.
Essential Responsibilities
All job duties are to be performed in accordance with Company Policies & Procedures, OSHA standards and other legal regulations and requirements. Essential responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Mow, trim, prune, rake and weed lawns and gardens/planter areas. Clear all debris. Report any malfunctions or observations of needed equipment repairs to Facilities Manager immediately.
- Install/maintain features such as ponds, lighting, irrigation and drainage systems, fences, planters, etc. in accordance with quality and safety as set forth by the Company and commonly practiced industry standards.
- Water plants and lawns, apply fertilizers and pesticides, overseed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
- Report unsafe practices or hazardous conditions to the CSM, Facilities Manager or General Manager.
- Attend annual BSA/AML training, as scheduled.
- Report to CSM or Security any individuals in the casino who appear to be underage, intoxicated, whose conduct appears to be illegal, or who poses a threat to the Company's operations.

Education and/or Experience: Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills are required. 1-2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscaping tools and machinery is required.
Language Skills: Ability to converse, read, and write in English is required; ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to write detailed reports and correspondence; ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one setting and small group situations to local government officials, guests, vendors, and team members.
Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills. Ability to accurately calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in an efficient manner.
Reasoning Ability: The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Conditions of Employment
This job has conditions of employment essential to the position that include:
- Ability to obtain a Gaming License from the City of Chula Vista
- Must be able to renew and maintain an active Gaming License according to the city's requirements
