JOB SUMMARY

Kutak Rock LLP seeks an Associate in its Irvine office to join its busy Litigation practice. This dynamic role is ideal for an attorney with interest in developing their knowledge and skills in insurance, municipal/public entity, and commercial litigation while working closely with experienced partners. QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities

• Ability to handle all aspects of complex civil litigation matters, including client communications, motions, discovery response, court appearances, mediations and negotiating settlements
• Proficient in taking and defending depositions as well as drafting disposition motions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to be strategic and analytical
• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and drive to help shape and expand a growing practice
• Ability and confidence to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team environment
• Ability to be mentored and taught remotely by attorneys in other offices
• Commitment to interacting directly with and achieving the goals of firm clients

QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA accredited US law school required
• Admitted to practice in California with an active bar license in good standing required
• 2+ years of experience in complex civil litigation required with experience in insurance litigation, municipal/public entity litigation, and construction matters preferred

Position Information

• Status: Exempt
• Salary Range: $140,000-$160,000 annual base salary, commensurate with education and experience
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid
