The Contribution You Will Make
We are looking for a motivated chemist with proficiency in extraction and processing of natural products from plant biomass. You will be primarily responsible for the extraction of natural product metabolites from plant biomass to primary extract with further processing to remove undesired compounds from the mixture.
As a member of the Platform Chemistry team, you will report to our Senior Director of Platform Chemistry.

The Contribution You Will Make
We are looking for a motivated chemist with proficiency in extraction and processing of natural products from plant biomass. You will be primarily responsible for the extraction of natural product metabolites from plant biomass to primary extract with further processing to remove undesired compounds from the mixture.
As a member of the Platform Chemistry team, you will report to our Senior Director of Platform Chemistry.
You Get To Collaborate On
- Processing of plant biomass as the first step in Enveda’s drug discovery process.
- Planning and execution of Enveda primary extract and SPE extraction campaigns.
- Work with Enveda’s suite of off-the-shelf and custom software and tracking tools for early drug discovery
- Preparation of samples for scale-up and isolation of putative bioactive compounds identified by the Enveda platform
- Maintain and troubleshoot extraction, evaporation, and chromatography equipment to resolve instrumentation issues to minimize equipment downtime.
- Write, revise, and follow QC protocols and SOP’s to ensure high quality, consistent results.
- Support multiple projects within platform chemistry services and communicate the results and conclusion clearly to the team and management.
- Prepare documentation, reports, presentations, and participate in internal/ external meetings.
- Maintain compliance with Enveda notebooks, SOPs, internal databases and support of Enveda standards for protection of intellectual property.
- BS/MS in chemistry or related discipline with laboratory experience required.
- Experience in extractions, pre-fractionation, and purification of natural products is highly desirable.
- High organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with life sciences software and laboratory information management systems (Benchling, CDD, Spotfire, etc…).
- Work well within a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented start-up environment.
- Excellent team player, and experience of working with cross-functional teams.
