Position Summary
The objective of this role is to track and manage the progress of key programs and commitments for the Vegetation Management department. This role manages aspects of program implementation and operations. Ensures program operation is effective. Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following supporting Program Management to ensure the attainment of program metrics/objectives.
- Monitoring progress of executing key programs and initiatives (including, but not limited, to tracking status of Vegetation Management commitments related to the PG&E WMP, PG&E’s settlements with external agencies, etc.)
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to achieving key deadlines and milestones for each program / initiative
- Facilitate cross-functional problem solving to course-correct program issues
- Develop and maintain action item logs, status tracking templates, decision logs, and risk / issue logs
- Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts
- Developing, measuring, and reporting on the success of the program
- Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners
- Partner with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meetings with regulators.
- Identifying stakeholders and communicating within and outside of PG&E
Responsibilities:
- Completes assignments of moderate scope and complexity.
- Requires some guidance on moderately complex issues.
- May participate in project teams.
- Understands the basic organizational structure and how to utilize available resources.
- Communicates with peers inside and outside of PG&E, exchanging ideas or gathering information
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Three years of related experience or equivalent
Desired:
- Experience in Program Management / PMO processes
- Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects
- Ability to prioritize, plan, perform, and communicate activities both in written and verbal form
- Knowledge of current utility and energy industry issues, industry trends, and political, economic, and social issues affecting the market.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
