This position is full-time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reconciles patient documents through multiple hospital registration and laboratory systems
  • Responsible for receipt, imaging, and indexing of lab and hospital records
  • Monitors and works Indexing Queue, duplicate queue, and Indexing Hold queue
  • Reports lab scanning issues or errors.
  • Performs data entry of billing information from scanned documents.
  • Responsible for timely resolution of accessions received to ensure lag, DSO, and timely filing deadlines are met
  • Obtains missing billing information (demographics/reports
  • Ability to meet and exceed quality and production standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detailed oriented with independent work habits
  • Maintain Compliance with HIPPA regulations at all times

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR Older
  • 1+ years of Data entry experience
  • 1+ years of working experience with Microsoft Tools including Microsoft Word (creating memos, writing), and Microsoft Outlook (setting calendar appointments, email)
  • Ability to use remote meeting/learning applications including instant messaging and video conferencing
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare experience
  • Typing speed of at least 50+ WPM
  • Microsoft Excel experience (creating spreadsheets, filtering, navigating reports)
  • Ability to use 10 Key

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group - approved symptom screener. The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
