Position Title: Finishing Helper

Graphic Packaging International, Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a leading provider of packaging solutions for a wide variety of products to food, beverage and other consumer products companies. The Company is one of the largest producers of folding cartons and holds a leading market position in coated-unbleached Kraft board and coated-recycled board. One of its facilities is currently seeking an experienced Finishing Helper for the Fort Smith, AR plant that is part of the Consumer Products Division.

Finishing Helper (General Labor for Production)

Shift: 12-hour nights - 6:45 pm to 7 am - rotating 4 nights on and 4 nights off. Includes weekends, holidays, and frequent overtime required. Facility is Tobacco Free.

Position Purpose

Participates in overall product outcome associated with Gluers. Interprets and documents standards related to product performance and quality. Assists in the maintenance and setup of equipment for customer product.

Job Functions

• Must be able to operate and be familiar with the Gluer requirements.
• Must become familiar with technical aspects of Gluer and troubleshoot if needed.
• Must be able to assist with CI sorting.
• Must be or become familiar with SAP and PEAK.
• Must be able to work towards achieving Finishing Dept. goals.
• Mechanical skills are a plus.
• Performs other organizational duties as required.
• Must take direction from Shift Supervisor and Finishing Operator.
• Must complete skill validation requirements for the Finishing Helper job.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Requires bending, pulling, walking.

Job Specifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Skills - Mechanical, communication.
• Computer literate.
• Able to use SAP and PEAK systems.
• Abilities - Good attendance, guide teams and processes, and ability to work alone.
