We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Technician to join Paragon Mechanical. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve HVAC issues for our clients in both residential and commercial environments. You will ensure that our customers can maintain optimal performance of their systems, deliver outstanding technical support, and contribute to the overall success of Paragon Mechanical by upholding our high standards of service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Provide Technical Support: Communicate effectively with clients, listen to their concerns, diagnose HVAC system issues, and provide solutions to ensure smooth operation.
• Troubleshoot Technical Issues: Analyze and resolve HVAC problems, identifying root causes to prevent recurrence and ensure long-term system reliability.
• Document Customer Interactions: Keep accurate records of client interactions, technical resolutions, and service reports in company systems.
• Stay Current on Industry Trends: Continuously enhance technical skills and product knowledge by keeping up with industry developments and attending training sessions.
• Adhere to Policies and Procedures: Follow all company guidelines related to technical support, customer service, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other technicians to troubleshoot complex issues and contribute to improving overall service processes.
• Escalate Issues: When necessary, escalate unresolved issues to senior technicians or management, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
• Provide Product Knowledge: Educate clients about the features, benefits, and best practices of HVAC systems to optimize system usage and efficiency.
• Monitor and Report on Technical Issues: Track and identify patterns in technical issues to provide insights for process improvements.
• Provide Training and Support: Assist with training customers or junior team members to enhance their understanding of HVAC systems and maintenance.
• Customer Satisfaction: Provide clear explanations about the work performed and ensure high customer satisfaction through post-service follow-ups and feedback.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

• Must have 3+ years experience in Commercial HVAC
• Preferred experience in refrigeration, electric motors, heating units, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners intake and exhaust fans, AC units, economizers, humidifiers, low-temperature applications, ice machine experience, chillers, and controls knowledge.
• Familiarity with electric controls, VVT, DDC, and programmable thermostat controls of HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of various HVAC equipment types, including window units, package units/RTUs, and air handling units.
• Universal EPA Certification.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, with a focus on commercial systems.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and troubleshooting processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve HVAC issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for record-keeping and project management.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Familiarity with HVAC tools, materials, and safety standards.
  
  

Work Environment

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, including commercial and residential sites.
• May require working evenings, weekends, or overtime hours based on client needs.
