Multiple Shifts Available: UAB Medicine supports work/life balance. The shifts available for this unit are:

  • Full-Time AM: 5 8-hour shifts per week
  • Full-Time AM: 4 10-hour shifts per week
  • Full-Time AM: 3 12-hour shifts per week
  • Full-Time PM: 5 8-hour shifts per week
  • Flexi/PRN

Job Description: To assist the operating room staff including the anesthesia providers with certain technical aspects of patient care. To ensure availability of supplies and equipment. To clean and disinfect surgical suites and/or reusable equipment including ancillary anesthesia equipment. To transport patients, lift and position patients, and to transport lab work and specimens. To successfully complete the designated portions of the orientation/training programs.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required. Certified with Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 30 days of hire.
