Are you a foodie? Do you love graphic design? Is it your dream to combine the two? Then, this is the job for you! Market of Choice seeks an entry level Graphic Designer to join our enthusiastic team of creative professionals. Market of Choice is an independent, family-owned grocery store chain consisting of 10 stores, all located in Oregon. As the food industry evolves and our company makes strategic strides, this job will play a key role in the creative direction of Market of Choice going forward.

The ideal candidate for the Graphic Designer will have 2-3 years of graphic design experience in an agency, design firm or in-house department. The candidate must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as Mac computer system, and have experience in photography. Food styling experience is not required.

The position requires the ability to coordinate and collaborate internally with several co-workers in other departments. Candidates must have strong communication skills and have the ability to manage projects from conception to completion as well as think creatively under tight deadlines. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing.

Duties

  • Produce and manage weekly ad production
  • Assist with photography, production and other tasks for bi-weekly ad production
  • Develop social media and online images and graphics, including animated images
  • Assist with design and production of any signage, brochures, bag stuffers, packaging, etc. as needed
  • Photograph and style food, products, people and items for design projects
  • Coordinate and produce development of marketing screens for customer POS system.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, stores and agency
  • Other duties as assigned
