Orion Industries is seeking a Grants & Corporate Giving Manager to take our fundraising initiatives to the next level. If you are passionate about the non-profit space, and thrive on identifying means to assist individuals seeking a career path, we are the place for you!
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a long-range grant and outreach strategy to identify, cultivate, solicit and secure major gift prospects in collaboration with the Vice President of Services.
- Manage and achieve the Training and Employment fundraising budget and revenue projections in concert with key staff.
- Directly responsible for foundation and corporate identification, research, grant writing, reporting, and stewardship.
- Identify and seek funding opportunities for special projects.
- Serve as a key staff member to develop community relationships that will promote Orion’s visibility and create opportunities for programs and funding.
- Design, produce and distribute all fundraising related communications, including online and offline strategies for newsletters, brochures, giving days, and annual reports.
- Ensure that data related to all relationships, grants, funders and individual prospects are recorded and tracked in electronic files; manage record keeping, evaluate progress toward goals, prepare periodic reports on relationships and fundraising; recommend revisions to the outreach and fundraising plan, as needed, to meet goals.
- Ensure documentation and execution of donor acknowledgement, stewardship and public recognition, as appropriate.
- Participate in individual solicitations as appropriate.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Excellent ability to communicate in English, through verbal or written means.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills; capable of working effectively with senior management, leadership, staff members, consultants, recipients of Orion’s services, and donors/prospects.
- Energetic, self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable; able to multi-task and work independently, witan attitude of service
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Little Green Light (LGL) donor database software, Grant seeking software, Constant Contact, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud
- Possess a positive, professional image in demeanor and dress to meet the public.
- Thorough understanding of grant funding policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Thorough understanding of effective grant writing techniques.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to interpret financial data and prepare budgets and financial grant reports.
- Ability to be discreet with personal information that may be needed for some grants such as employee salaries or upcoming projects.
- At least 5 years of fundraising experience in fundraising with a track record of success; specific experience in grant writing and corporate relations.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or commensurate experience in lieu of education
- Experience in individual giving and major gifts
- Ability to pass background check including the Washington State Department of Social and Health services background through Background Check Central Unit (BCCU)
- Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification highly desirable
- Possess valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle which automobile insurance.
