Role Overview
The Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to groups, managing accounts, soliciting and generating business, and conducting site inspections. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well-organized documentation and reports, utilizing Hyatt systems, and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate. The Sales Manager will participate in and may lead event meetings, sales, and other staff meetings. The Sales Manager collaborates closely with the sales and catering staff and maintains close contact with administrative support staff.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in full-service, luxury/lifestyle resort hotel sales
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for group bookings
- Identify and prospect new business group opportunities through targeted outreach and networking
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and repeat bookings
- Liaise and coordinate with various departments within the hotel to ensure seamless execution of group events & activities, exceeding guest expectations
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in general computer knowledge
