LOCATION: Rapid City Area

HOURS: Three (3) positions available, all are benefit-eligible.

• Two positions are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with regular evenings/weekends as needed.
• One position is 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with regular evenings/weekends as needed.

SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Resource Family Services (RFS) Specialist assists families in navigating the process to become a foster or adoptive resource to children in the custody of the Department of Social Services. In this position you will provide training and complete home study assessments for prospective foster and adoptive families. You will be a valuable member of the LSS Resource Family Services Team and work collaboratively with the South Dakota Department of Social Services.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a related field, plus one to two years of related experience. The Specialist will be required to be licensed by the South Dakota Board of Social Work examiners – licensure can occur after hire.

Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Requires valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approved driver status.
